consultancy Dekimo has made the files for its DIY decade resistance box available to download for free.
Dekimo usually hands out the physical boxes at trade fairs, but it has released the Gerber and bill of materials files along with a pick-and-place file so that people can make their own.
There is no licence, but no payment is required to access and use the files.
However, the lack of licensing information doesmean that users cannot know whether they are permitted to make changes to the design.
Also, the resistance box likely will not stand heavy usage, as its switches use ENIG (electroless nickel immersion gold) coating rather than the harder-wearing hard gold plating that would be more usual in such an application.
