The Pebble smartwatch was at the forefront of avant-garde technology a decade ago, offering experimental features at the time, with its low-resolution display and microcontroller unit.
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, the brand has now returned with updated features, including extra sensors, a longer battery life and an nRF52840 BLE microcontroller.
The new watch remains compatible with software from the original 2013 production, and its open-source hardware mimics the original design, but comes with a higher price tag of $299.
This seems a little overpriced for the hardware, which may only appeal to those nostalgic for the original Pebble, or who want a watch to complement their game controller when playing Grand Theft Auto V.
