On the weekend of 28–29 April, Hackaday Europe event took place in Berlin, with numerous attendees who engaged in talks, discussions and shared their own projects.
A recurring theme of the event was that while it was well-organised and executed, the “vibe” of the event was as much created by its attendees as its organisers.
An attendee proposed the question of whether the success of the Berlin event could be replicated elsewhere, with less of a hacker scene.
The answer to this was that while the organisers could provide the schwag, the venue and the schedule, the enthusiastic participants, some of whom hacked event badges, were the main factor that made the event so successful.
