LEDs are a versatile and customisable tool with which to make a clock, and [sjm4306]‘s take on a traditional timepiece is no exception, using LED filaments to create a striking design.
Known as FilamenTIME, the clock features an outer ring of 60 minute LEDs and an inner ring of 12 hour LEDs, driven by nine Shift registers and an ATmega328P, with a DS3232MZ keep the time.
Although [sjm4306] is satisfied with the result, they note that the large PCB required is costly, and their current work centres on creating a smaller, more compact and affordable version.
