Better Bearings Take the Wobble Out of Premium Scroll Wheel

Summary
A self-proclaimed “premium” wireless scroll wheel has been made by Engineer Bo, seemingly targeting the dissatisfied user who wants a more practical and refined mouse-like device for scrolling.
While the first version worked well, it had a wobbling scroll wheel that needed remedial action.
Attempts to use a larger diameter bearing failed to deliver the desired result, hence the choice of a large-diameter ceramic bearing which solved the issue.
The new bearing also allowed more room for a redesigned PCB and lower-profile wheel, in this case made from aluminium.
The maker has also commissioned a polycarbonate wheel for potential use with internal LEDs, which would look good though this would, of course, affect battery life, and is also considering a wooden version.
