The Commodore 64 was one of the most popular computers of the 1980s, but a new DIY project has created a smaller version with modern updates, taking a Lego-like approach to retro computing.
A YouTube channel, [10p6], modified a Commodore 64 Mini, making a Commodore 64C version with a working keyboard, a bonus USB hub for flexibility, and a PETSCII keyboard PCB and keycaps, all printed with a resin printer.
This miniature Commodore is just one example of the continued interest in retro computers and gaming, often fuelled by the hacker and DIY community, who use these old consoles as a basis for creative new projects.
The video of the build process has received almost 500,000 views in just two weeks.
