A 1930s house fitted with various smart technologies such as sensors, smart switches and cameras may look aesthetically unpleasing, which is why one proprietor of such a house sought a more inconspicuous presence detection sensor.
To achieve his goal, he chose to use mmwave radar modules that can detect humans in an area even if they are still, paired with ESP32-S2 Mini.
The modules are set up with some code to be used in Home Assistant and inconspicuous wall prototypes were created, achieving the goal of controlling lights without altering the house’s aesthetics and behaviour.
