Cyclists who want to use rear-view mirrors often struggle with issues caused by their own movement and vibrations from the road that knock the mirrors out of alignment.
A Canadian inventor and cycling enthusiast named Mike Kelly has come up with an innovative solution to the problem in the form of the Mantis Mirror.
The device features two small mirrors attached to a short extension bar that is fixed to a cyclist’s helmet.
A lower mirror provides a clear rear view from an upright riding position, while an upper mirror comes into play when the rider is in a more bent position.
Responding to the interest that the invention has garnered, Kelly is now considering launching a crowdfunding campaign to commercialise the Mantis Mirror.
