At the Hackaday Supercon 2024, Sarah Vollmer gave a presentation that centred around the theme of turning talk into action in relation to achieving your project goals.
She highlighted the importance of friends in providing support and valuable ideas, whilst also being aware of the potential for friends to lead you in the wrong direction.
She also emphasised the significance of identifying and overcoming obstacles (foes) that may threaten the progress of your project, and setting clear goals to keep you focused.
Sarah advised to avoid the lure of endless planning, which can derail projects, and to stay focused on actions that help to achieve goals.
The talk also highlighted the importance of not letting criticism stall projects, and using whatever is available to move towards goals.
Finally, the value of a positive attitude and humour when faced with unexpected setbacks was also emphasised.
