YouTuber Mellow Labs has posted a video that shows how to transform a generic HD endoscope camera into a nozzle camera for a Prusa Mini 3D printer.
The camera normally would be used for inspecting hard-to-reach areas such as combustion engines, but in this case, it is fixed to the printer to provide a view of the nozzle.
The camera is removed from its aluminium case and is upgraded with salvaged LEDs from a dismembered bulb before being wrapped in heat shrink.
It is then mounted on a 3D-printed bracket made from PETG and can be detached after a print via a custom connector.
The mount design is parametric and the video provides a full guide to doing the modification.
This is intended to give makers a closer view of a 3d print failure than would normally be possible.
