The Nebula Mouse is a wireless 6-DOF handheld input device that emulate the 3DConnexion SpaceMouse at a fraction of the cost, as it is a DIY device that needs to be self-built.
The design makes use of 3D printing, magnets and microcontroller technology, whilst its internals are crafted with precision, including Hall effect sensors that track real-world movement and a Seeed Xiao nRF52840 that handles Bluetooth duty.
It is not open source, with just compiled code available, although the design files are available online alongside instructions and it is fully configurable through standard apps.
The SpaceMouse was famously teared down last month; this DIY alternative is aimed at those who want a more affordable option for their CAD workflow.
