As the liquid is laid down into a supporting gel, it cures, supported, and the layers can merge, creating a smooth finish.
This could be a game-changer for DIY silicon condom and sex toy makers, but the printer is not likely to be cheap, with a cost of consumables against resin printers.
The video shows how neat the process is, although the technology will have to become more accessible for home users before it becomes a common household appliance.
