A leaked Google Cloud SQL instance, along with several buckets containing datasets and backups from the retailer Shein, have exposed billions of customer records.
The cloud buckets were discovered openly accessible by Bullysai, a cybersecurity firm, who notified TechCrunch prior to the buckets being secured.
A Xavier Society and its “Indianfakepackage” dataset with 370 million records was discovered among the exposed buckets.
Other buckets contained data from shopping service Swiggy, food delivery service Zomato, and dating app Tinder, according to Bullysai.
Additionally, a MongoDB instance was discovered by the researchers, which was subsequently secured.
