Google will now automatically revoke permissions from harmful Android apps

Google has increased the security measures on its Play Store for Android with its Play Protect service gaining additional features to prevent malicious apps from accessing important phone functions, such as the camera and photos.
The service already scans all apps on a device, including those sideloaded, and will remove harmful ones from the Play Store.
The new features include the automatic removal of permissions for such apps, with the user given the choice to restore them, and the prevention of the disabling of Play Protect during a phone or video call.
This latter feature is to prevent scammers from using social engineering to convince people to turn off Play Protect whilst on a call.
