“Big Balls”, a young technologist who works for Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has had access to US government systems called into question by security experts.
Edward Coristine, the individual in question, has set up at least five companies, registered in the US, Delaware and the UK in the last four years.
He also worked at Path Network, which employs hackers, and Tesla.Sexy LLC, a company he founded, has a Discord bot targeting the Russian market, with at least two Russian-registered domains.
Given these foreign connections, they would be flagged during any security clearance check, according to former Army intelligence officer Joseph Shelzi.
Additionally, the fact that Coristine’s career began when he was about 16 years old would also raise concerns, says longtime security manager Davi Ottenheimer.
It is unclear what level of clearance Coristine has, or how it was granted, with the White House not responding to questions.
