TikTok has been banned in the US and is no longer available to download
Those who had already downloaded it can still use it, but a warning has been put in place to inform them that the app has been banned
This is the first time a ban like this has been implemented in the US
This ban puts pressure on Apple and Google to stop new users from downloading TikTok and on infrastructure providers like Oracle to stop new content from reaching current users
It’s unclear how long this ban will be in place, with President Trump stating he wants to review the situation before making a decision on whether to implement a permanent ban or not
