Homeland Security Email Tells a US Citizen to 'Immediately' Self-Deport

Summary
The US Department of Homeland Security sent an email to an immigration lawyer stating their temporary parole had been revoked and they must leave the country, alongside no clear indication of who the email was intended for or why it was sent out in the first place.
The message stated the attorney had seven days to leave the US, it was identical to messages received by CBP One users, an app that allows non-citizens from certain countries to seek asylum.
The Trump administration is seeking to revoke parole for 532,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans who entered under the Biden-era humanitarian programme with a court order blocking the attempt.
Civil Liberties Defense Center’s executive director, Lauren Regan, suggests the email has caused fear and confusion among immigrants due to a lack of clarity.
It is also unclear if the email is related to efforts by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency to identify individuals paroled into the US on the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center watchlist with criminal records.
