Some Kindles now let you double-tap anywhere to turn the page

Summary
A new software update for Amazon’s Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft provides an easier way to flip to the next page by letting users double-tap the devices’ sides or back.
The update is only available for the current-generation Paperwhite and Colorsoft, and not for older versions of the entry-level Kindle, Scribe, and Oasis.
The double-tap function works well and is not easy to trigger by mistake, but it is limited to just one direction for now.
It is not clear if future updates will allow for triple-taps to scroll up or return to a previous page.
The new feature is listed in the release notes for the 5.18.1 update in Settings > Device Options.
