Summary
Dbrand has launched Aperture, a face cover for the Apple Vision Pro to protect the headset’s curved laminated glass and avoid the user’s fingers blocking the sensors.
The cover features a web pattern of small holes that protect the device without hindering its performance, except for the EyeSight functionality, for which the obscured OLED screen may be an advantage.
The cover is available for 49,whilethecoverandholstertogethercanbepurchasedfor69.
The product is an updated version of a design by Kyle Goodrich, who posted a 3D-printed version of the cover online in February 2024, with Dbrand later producing the product at a larger scale using a “single-shot injection of high-durometer polyurethane” instead of 3D printing.
