E-reader manufacturer Readmoo has announced its first folding e-reader, the mooInk V, which will be the first such device to be available to consumers.
No shipping date or price for the mooInk V has yet been announced.
The device boasts an 8-inch touchscreen based on E Ink’s Gallery 3 technology, offering over 50,000 shades of colour at a resolution of 300ppi.
The mooink V weighs around 225 grams and, when folded, is smaller than a paperback.
Readmoo has spent nine years working with E Ink to develop a flexible electronic paper screen that can survive more than 200,000 bends.
The e-reader can be opened flat or used at a 90-degree angle.
