Summary
Anker has released its first Thunderbolt 5 dock, which features 14 ports for connecting multiple devices simultaneously.
The dock’s key ports include two USB-C Thunderbolt 5 ports for connecting to displays, three standard USB-A ports, and HDMI and DisplayPort sockets.
The device is capable of powering two 8k displays at once, although the host computer’s capabilities may limit the resolution and refresh rate, and Anker has not confirmed if the dock can power three displays at once.
The Anker Prime TB5 Docking Station is available to purchase online and through other retailers at a price of $399.99 and includes a ring of adjustable ambient LED lighting and a cooling system that uses an intelligent temperature algorithm to prevent overheating.
Its firmware can also be updated remotely using Anker’s Dock Manager software.
