Summary
Following the release of Nintendo Switch firmware update V20.
0.0, some users found that their consoles would no longer boot, instead displaying an error code.
In response, Nintendo released a new update, V20.0.1, to fix the boot-up bug.
However, affected users will need to perform additional steps to install the fix, as the console won’t boot normally.
The procedure involves putting the Switch into Maintenance Mode, which can be accessed by pressing the power, volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously, and then selecting “Update System” from the Maintenance Mode menu.
If parental controls are enabled, a PIN will need to be entered.
Nintendo advises affected users to contact support if the issue isn’t resolved by the new update, or if different error codes are encountered.
