Nothing cements your relationship status with a new hobby like buying a special bag for it, writes Taylor L. Booth for Gear PATROL.
Buying a bag to fit a new hobby (and the associated gadgets and gear) is an “important and underappreciated” part of the enjoyment, says Booth, who recommends recognising the role that such bags play.
There are some purchases that never quite live up to expectations, but a well-chosen bag is always a worthwhile purchase, argues Booth, who regrets only ever regretting not choosing the correct bag.
An example of a great speciality bag is the convertible pannier backpack by Two Wheel Gear, which is perfect for bike riding and commuting, argues Booth, who bought the bag last summer to use on cycling trips.
The bag has a compartment for a laptop, is reasonably waterproof, has pockets for storage, and clips onto the back of a bike for cycling but can be quickly converted into a regular backpack, making it versatile and useful for different situations, explains Booth.
