Leica has launched a new iPhone accessory, the Leica Lux Grip, which adds a DSLR-style grip to iPhones, including function buttons, a two-stage shutter button and a control dial for simulating the feel of using a Leica dedicated camera.
It is compatible with iPhone models dating back to the iPhone 12 that support MagSafe accessories and is available for $329 in select Leica stores.
The Lux Grip is made with an aluminium housing, finished in black and attaches to iPhones using MagSafe.
It works wirelessly with iPhones using Bluetooth, specifically with Leica’s mobile photography app, which simulates the look and aesthetics of the company’s lenses and vintage photography gear.
The app is free, but requires a subscription to use all of its features and Leica includes a free one-year subscription with the Lux Grip.
Leica also sells a $60 leather case for its Lux Grip that includes a pocket for hiding an AirTag.
