DJI’s new Osmo Mobile 7 Pro has so very many tricks up its sleeve

• DJI has released the OSMO Mobile 7, a stabilised motor set that can hold a smartphone, boasting many new features including a built-in tripod, an extendable arm, and a computer vision camera that enables the machine to automatically track individuals and frame shots, activated by hand gestures.
• The device also has a fill light with an adjustable colour temperature and a wireless microphone receiver.
• It can be used with DJI’s Mimo app, as well as a smartphone’s inbuilt camera, to follow an owner autonomously, doing away with the need to use the app for filming.
• However, it does drain the battery, reducing its life to either four or five hours, depending on whether the fill light is also activated.
• There are two versions: the OSMO Mobile 7 Pro, which costs $149,andthestandardOSMOMobile7,whichcosts$89.
