Powerplay 2: Logitech made its magic mousepad cheaper instead of better
1 min read
Summary
Logitech’s latest wireless mousepad, the Powerplay 2, offers continual charging without the need for manual charging or a cable, for $100.
The company claims the mousepad has a 15% larger charging area than its predecessor and is 3.5mm thick, compared to 4.3mm for the original.
However, the new model’s base is the same thickness as the original model, meaning the overall thickness difference is negligible.
The Powerplay 2 mousepad also lacks features including USB-C instead of micro-USB, a wireless mouse receiver, programmable RGB lights and included accessories.
While the original model is no longer in stock at most retailers, Logitech expects bundles to be offered by retailers “shortly after launch.
