Summary
Framework has announced its smallest laptop, the Laptop 12, which will launch in mid-2025.
It will be the company’s first product with a 2-in-1 hinge, touchscreen and rubber edges to improve durability.
The laptop will come with a 2023 13th Gen Intel Core processor and up to 48GB RAM and 2TB of NVMe storage.
It will also have four of the company’s expansion card slots for customisation of ports and Wi-Fi 6E.
Pricing will be announced nearer the time, although the company has said it will be cheaper than its previous model, the Framework Laptop 13, which costs from $750.
The company’s products are designed to be upgradeable and repairable and it is currently the only company to offer this at scale.
