The iPad Air looks set to continue in the vein of previous models, according to a report in The Verge, in that it will be a solid upgrade from previous iPads, but won’t necessarily change the game or the overall iPad experience.
The new Air, announced via press release, features an upgraded M3 chip (not Apple’s most modern chip, the M4), and comes in four colours in 11- and 13-inch models, costing from 599and799 respectively.
It also includes support for Apple’s Intelligence and a new Magic Keyboard attachment, featuring an extra row of function keys and a larger trackpad, available for 269or319.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, posted a graphic teaser on Monday, leading to speculation on what the announcement would be.
The new model looks like an effort to strike a balance between features and price that will appeal to customers.
