Gaming hardware company MagicX is preparing to release its first Android-based handheld games console, the MagicX Zero 40, aimed at emulating Nintendo DS games.
Due for release in April 2025, the console will feature a vertical touchscreen, and is expected to cost $75.
It will feature an Allwinner A133P processor, 2GB of RAM and a 4,300mAh battery with estimated gameplay time of between five and seven hours.
The console will run on Android 10, and will use the Drastic emulator to run DS games, which became free for Android devices in March 2024.
MagicX also plans for the Zero 40 to be capable of emulating N64, PSP and Dreamcast titles.
