Lego has announced a new addition to its Mario Kart collection, which first debuted last August and has now released a 1,972 piece set featuring Mario in his standard racing kart from the game, available for preorder for $169.99.
The set is available to order now on the Lego website with an expected ship date of May 15, 2025, and includes the largest buildable version of Mario that Lego has ever created, with a detailed face and posable head and arms, and a steerable kart.
The set, when built, can be displayed on the included stand to be shown off at an angle “as if it is being driven at speed or drifting in a Mario Kart race”.
The set was announced to coincide with ‘MAR10 Day’, a holiday created by Nintendo to celebrate its iconic character.
