Gaming company Microsoft has launched its Xbox Adaptive Joystick, aimed at improving the gaming experience of those with limited mobility.
The device is exclusively available on Microsoft’s online store for $29.
The adaptive joystick has remappable front-facing buttons, as well as a shoulder and trigger button on the back, an Xbox thumbstick and a threaded insert for mounting.
It can be used as a standalone controller or can be connected to Microsoft’s Adaptive Controller or plugged into a USB port.
The launch coincides with Microsoft releasing design guidelines for creating accessible packaging, which includes strategies for inclusivity.
