Summary
Announced in October 2022, the Analogue 3D, a Nintendo 64 console with 4k output and Bluetooth-enabled controller support, was initially scheduled for release in late 2024, before being pushed to July 2025, a year later than expected.
Analogue is known for producing retro game systems utilizing FPGA tech that is 100 percent compatible with various consoles’ cartridges from any region.
ModRetro, operated by Palmer Luckley, an avid 2nd amendment supporter and Oculus VR founder, has just posted a teaser for its own N64 console, the Chromatic, set to compete with the Analogue 3D.
The delay to the Analogue 3D gives potential buyers time to reconsider their purchases, with Luckley himself advising people to “change their mind” about their Analogue 3D pre-order.
-Analogue maintains its 100 percent refund policy on canceled pre-orders, but stressed it is working to release the 3D console as soon as possible.
