Broadcom’s VMware says Siemens pirated “thousands” of copies of its software

The German manufacturer’s US arm allegedly revealed it had copied and rolled out thousands of VMware products without a valid licence when it sought to renew support services.
The lawsuit is yet to be seen as VMware’s attempt to strengthen its stance on licence enforcement or whether the company is genuinely concerned about Siemens’ use of its products.
