Summary
- One of the downsides of having a large screen phone is that it can be difficult to control with one hand
- However, there is a feature on most Android phones called one-handed mode, which shrinks the screen to one side
- Making it easier to control with one hand though it does require enabling the feature and may not be available on all devices
- Another way to make typing easier on large phones is to hold and slide on the keyboard’s spacebar to move the cursor
- This makes it easier to correct typing errors rather than having to zoom in or use both hands to navigate to the right location.
There are many other android gestures to make navigation easier such as:
- Using two fingers to access the quick settings menu
- Swiping left or right across the bottom of your screen switches between recently used apps
- Swiping the edge of your palm across the screen to take a screenshot
- Long pressing an app icon can also present some shortcuts for that app such as creating a new document in Google Docs without having to open the app first.
