Summary
- To change your iCloud email settings you need to go to the iCloud Mail website as there are no native settings in the Apple Mail app.
- On the site, go to ‘Mailboxes’ then ‘Settings’ and open the dropdown menu for ‘Default Send Address’ and choose your alias email address.
- Untick the boxes for any addresses you do not want to use to send messages.
- On an iPhone, whilst you cannot add an alias, you can change the settings so that you send emails from an alias address on iOS.
- To do this go to ‘Settings’, ‘Mail’, and select your iCloud email.
- Under ‘Accounts’ choose ‘Default Email’.
- Then choose the alias from the list that appears.
- You can still add your iCloud email to other services such as Outlook.
