Summary
Mozilla’s Firefox browser is to get a new feature using AI to help users decide whether to click on a link or not
Called AI link previews, the tool generates a pop-up summary of the page when the user hovers over a link
This helps eliminate unnecessary clicks and reduces clutter from opening too many tabs
It can also be used to scan search engine results to determine which pages might be the most useful to open.
The tool is currently in the experimental Nightly builds stage, but should be rolled out more widely in the future.
It can be enabled by launching the Nightly browser, going to Settings, General or Experimental Features and toggling AI Link Previews to on, or manually by amending browser settings.
