The process to switch off autoplay on a mobile device is as follows: open the Netflix app, tap the Edit button, select theprofile, toggle off the autoplay options, and tap Done.
On a web browser, one should head to Netflix’s homepage, hover over the profile icon, select Manage Profiles, click Playback settings, and untick the autoplay options, finally clicking Save.
These changes only apply to the edited profile, so others in the household can still have autoplay on their accounts.
Nevertheless, these annoyances apply not only to Netflix, but also to other streaming services such as YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.
