Notion is a flexible tool but to get the most out of it, users should incorporate integrations to automate workflows and sync data, says author Nicholas DiLeo.
The Slack integration keeps everyone updated on database changes and allows creating Notion tasks directly in Slack.
The Gmail integration works in a similar way to Slack, sending an email to notify everyone of a database change, but this requires a Notion Plus subscription, with the free version only automatic with Slack.
The integration of Notion Calendar allows due dates to be viewed directly on a calendar, and when linked to Google Calendar, events can be created and managed.
DiLeo highlights several other integrations, including Asana, Google Drive, Figma, Lucidchart, and Zoom, as well as the workflow automation tool Zapier.
