How to Back Up Secure Folder Data on Your Samsung Phone
1 min read
Summary
To back up data from Samsung’s Secure Folder, which is not included in the regular cloud backup, use the Smart Switch app, which can back up the data to either an SD card, USB flash drive, or to a computer.
After connecting the external storage device or USB cable to transfer the data to a computer, open the Smart Switch app on the phone, tap the “external storage icon,” and select the desired storage device.
Select “Custom,” tap “Next,” tap the arrow next to “Apps,” uncheck “All” and select “Secure Folder” before tapping “Done” and “Back Up.”
To restore the Secure Folder data, the same Samsung account used on the previous device is required and the restoration process is similar to the backup process.
To restore from a computer, in the Smart Switch app on the computer, click “Restore,” click the arrow next to “Apps,” check the box for “Secure Folder,” and click “Restore,” and wait for the transfer to complete.
