AI agents work via four stages: perception, decision-making, learning, and action
They differ from traditional AI programs as they don’t need step-by-step instructions, enabling them to manage complex, changeable tasks
AI agents use LLMs (Large Language Models) to understand inputs through regular human language, and they think and learn for themselves
Examples of AI agents are virtual assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant, as well as platforms such as OpenAI’s Operator, Microsoft Azure AI, AutoGPT, AgentGPT, and BabyAGI
They have numerous applications across several industries, including healthcare, finance, and customer service
Though they have many limitations, their development will hopefully lead to fewer limitations and greater capabilities in the future
