Summary
Google has updated its Gemini app, which uses AI to answer user questions, to allow iPhone users to access it more easily via lock screen widgets.
Six circular widgets can be added to the lock screen, which allow users to type questions, talk or chat live to the AI, open the microphone to set reminders or create calendar events, use the camera to get information on objects users photograph, share images to search for information or create new art, and share files to discuss their contents.
The update makes it easier for users to access Gemini’s live feature, an AI voice chat option which can be used to learn a new language or prepare for a job interview.
It is free to use and has no time limits on usage.
