Lenovo's Solar-Powered Yoga Laptop Concept Is Way Better Than I Thought Possible

Summary
Lenovo’s solar-powered laptop concept, the Yoga Solar PC, has generated a lot of interest at MWC 2025, despite previous lack of progress by other companies in introducing commercially viable solar-powered computers.
The Yoga Solar PC’s lid is embedded with 84 solar cells that are intended to provide enough power for an hour of 1080p video viewing in around 20 minutes of sunlight, or enough ambient light from a shady day.
The concept device is also claimed to charge automatically based on ambient light levels, and includes an Intel Core Ultra 200 CPU, up to 32GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 50.2Wh battery, three USB-C ports and a 14-inch OLED screen.
Durability and cost are two factors that may need to be tackled before the concept becomes a commercially-available product, but Lenovo believes it has an exciting future prospect on its hands.
