Summary
Mozilla’s popular browser, Firefox, has just received a significant update, including an alterations to its layout which allows for a sidebar providing easy access to features such as bookmarks and tabs.
This update is available on Windows, MacOS and Linux, and also offers the opportunity to integrate tabs open on a user’s phone, to be accessible via their desktop.
The new design includes vertical tabs, something borrowed from rival browser, Microsoft Edge, and an AI chatbot tool, with several options available for this feature.
To activate the updated sidebar, users must manually head to Settings, then General, and finally, Browser Layout, where Show sidebar can be selected.
This update comes after some controversy over Firefox’s update to its terms of use, which reportedly implied the company was collecting and selling user data, something Mozilla denies.
