This Smartwatch Maker Is Back From the Dead With Two New Offerings

Eric Migicovsky, the creator of the Pebble smartwatch, has launched two new smart devices through his company Core Devices.
The watches are a return to form for Migicovsky, who wants to take the basics of smartwatch design and run with them.
As such, the new devices will run on an open-source version of the original Pebble operating system (PebbleOS), and feature an always-on e-ink display, long battery life, and the ability to hack the watches.
The cheaper of the two, the Core 2 Duo, will retail for $149 an d s hi p in J u l y 2025, w i t h t h e n e w er C ore T im e 2, f e a t u r in g a t o u c h scree n, se tt in g c u s t o m ers ba c k$ 225 and shipping in December 2025.
