Creality has become a big player in desktop 3D printing in recent years and its latest machine, the K2 Plus, looks set to continue that trend.
It has a large build volume and optional colour-swapping tech, but is it worth the premium price, and does it actually work?
The K2 Plus is a big, hefty machine that needs a lot of desk space (or a dedicated stand).
It’s pretty easy to set up and the companion software is mostly good, with one major exception – more on that later.
In action, it’s surprisingly quiet and, more importantly, fast; some of my test prints took a fraction of the estimated time that my other printers took.
The colour-swapping technology is really cool, but it’s also unreliable and wasteful and not entirely necessary as you can just pause prints and change filaments manually.
The Creality K2 Plus is a great printer – if you get a faultlessly functioning model and only print single-colour models.
