Google Maps users will soon have more information about their destination at a glance, including route efficiency, expected trip duration and parking difficulty, all of which currently require users to dig around the app or conduct a separate Google search.
The new features are expected to begin rolling out across regions, with territories like the US, UK and EU likely to be first, though Google has not confirmed when the update will launch, or in which regions.
The move comes as Google continues to unify navigation tools with vehicle infotainment systems, and is also working on an AI integration in Maps that will allow users to ask questions about any destination.
