Summary
Google has introduced a range of new features to enhance its travel planning services, including a tool for keeping track of travel-related screenshots, updated AI Overview functions, and a price-tracking feature for hotels.
The screenshot tool, which is available on iOS devices and will soon be launched on Android, enables the Google app to recognise locations in screenshots and save them to a dedicated list, which syncs with Google Maps.
The AI Overview function works in tandem with Google Search to generate day-by-day holiday itineraries that include sightseeing and dining options, which can be saved and shared.
The price-tracking hotels feature will email users when there are significant drops in price for hotels that they have previously looked at on google.com/hotels.
