How to Factory Reset Your Samsung Galaxy Phone Without Losing Data
2 min read
Summary
With Samsung’s Temporary Cloud Backup, users don’t need to back up their data to a computer or pay for cloud storage as it offers a free solution for up to 30 days, making it ideal for those who want to factory reset their device.
In order to use the feature, users will need a Samsung account and a Galaxy phone running One UI 6 or later.
All that is required is to open the Settings app, select General management, go to Reset and then Temporary Cloud Backup before tapping the Back Up Data button.
From there, users can select the data they want to back up and tap Back Up to begin the process.
Once the backup is complete, users can factory reset their device as usual and then restore their data after signing into their Samsung account during the setup process.
However, if users skip the restore option during setup or want to restore data on an already set up Galaxy phone, they can open the Settings app, go to General management, select Reset, tap Temporary Cloud Backup and select Restore Data.
From there, users can select the data they want to restore and tap Restore Data to complete the process.
