The update will give users the option to disable the changes and return the Mail app to its original form.
Many Apple users found that the updates in 18.2 made the app far too similar to Gmail, which is one of the main reasons that loyal users chose the Apple Mail app in the first place.
The new features are expected to be available to all users when iOS 18.5 is officially released later this year.
Currently, those not wishing to update to iOS 18.5 can still get around many of the changes, by opting for list view and disabling Apple’s priority inbox.
