These iPhone Accessories Are a Total Waste of Money

Summary
Several iPhone accessories are simply gimmicks that rely on misinformation or fears to sell themselves, and are not worth the money paid for them.
Silver ion coatings on antimicrobial screen protectors slow the growth of bacteria, but it does not mean the screen is germ-free, and the antimicrobial layer tends to wear off quickly, leaving customers with a regular (and expensive) screen protector.
Anti-radiation stickers and cases claim to block harmful radiation from smartphones, but play on unfounded fears as smartphones adhere to strict safety standards for radiofrequency emissions.
Wallet cases are often bulky and awkward to use, and have the downside of attaching your phone and ID to each other, meaning if one gets lost, the other does too.
UV-C phone sanitizers are not as effective as advertised as they depend on direct exposure (which is hindered by dust, smudges or phone cases) and UV-C light does not clean dirt or grease off a phone.
Third-party Bluetooth trackers are not as reliable as Apple’s AirTag or Tile’s official products, which tap into Find My network, and also may not have the same security protections against unauthorised tracking.
